We Need Your Help!
The following is a list of programs that the PTA supports, but to continue with these spirited, fun and enriching programs, we need parent/family volunteers. If you are interested, and would like more information, please complete the form below.
Art Committee ~ Help with needs of the Art Show, Meet the Masters Art Program, and PTA Reflections to promote and build on these programs.
Book Fair ~ Work on committee to set up displays and help sell books at the Book Fair twice a year.
Beautification ~ Help to maintain the landscaping around the school; watering, weeding, trimming and some planting...guiding our student volunteers. No experience needed. Monthly. This committee really needs help.
Bulletin Board ~ Design and Update the PTA Bulletin Board.
Carnival Booth Committee ~ We have a committee in place but need volunteers to learn and help keep this school family function going.
Copy Center ~ work in the copy center for PTA and teachers.
Cub Spirit Tags Program ~ Purchase and keep track of Cub Spirit tags, coordinating, creating awards.
Emergency Preparedness ~ Maintain the Cubberley Emergency preparedness container and coordinate earthquakes bars for new students in the beginning of the school year.
Family Fun Coordinator ~ Organize 2-3 family fun events for the school year. Such as: skating, movies, family brunch, etc.
Garden Box Program ~ Volunteers needed to help the chair with K through 4th graders. Preparing sessions, assist in planting, watering, weeding, harvesting. No experience needed.
*GM BoxTops ~ Collect, assemble and submit General Mills BoxTops for rebate.
Hall of Fame ~ Participate in the selection process of our 8th grade Hall of Fame inductees. Middle School parents are not able to participate. Requires 3 evenings in April/May of meetings and student interviews as a committee. Very rewarding.
Honor Roll Luncheon ~ Plan, organize and set-up luncheon for students ( 3 luncheons, 2 times a year).
Hospitality ~ Help out with luncheons and Teacher Appreciation activities.
*Ink Cartridge Recycling ~ Collect, assemble and submit cartridges for rebate. This committee is not operating right now. We need someone to run it.
*Literature Club for middle school ~ Help with tallies once a month. Most of the work can be done at home.
Monthly Art Program ~ Cut, count and assemble supplies for each class.
Membership ~ Help with collecting and counting.
*Online Newsletter ~ Collect and organize articles for bi-weekly newsletter. A computer is necessary for this position.
*Reading Rewards ~ Help keep track of your classroom reading logs and work with the committee chairs.
Red Ribbon ~ This is the annual "Say No To Drugs" awareness week. Coordinate activities during the week in October.
Reflections ~ Helps committee chair with distribution of flyers, collecting and categorizing artwork, and helps plan an award ceremony.
School Pictures ~ Assist photography vendors directing the students and keeping track of the schedule. Must be available at 8:15 a. m. on picture day.
*Cubs Have Character ~ Help promote the Character building program and research inspiring ideas.
Fall Fundraiser ~ Help with various aspects of the A-thon fundraiser which include: Organizing event, counting money, gathering prizes, distributing prizes.
Parent Rep for School Forums ~ Parent representatives attend district-organized meetings to raise issues, ask questions and hear the latest from district reps.
Spirit Wear ~ Help the chair with the sale, organizing and delivery of spirit wear and delivery to the classroom.
VIPS Coordinator ~ Coordinate sign-up of new VIPS parents, work with PTA Historian in helping to keep track of hours and sign in book. One person needed.
Yearbook Distribution ~ Help the Chair create an order form for yearbooks, collect, track yearbooks, count money and distribute yearbooks at the end of the year.
