Love all the fun and enriching programs at Cubberley? Volunteers like you make them happen. Look at the list below to see where you can help. Many roles can be done from home.
Ways to Volunteer
Advocacy and Legislation (from home): Keep track of what National and State PTA are doing on advocacy and legislation, and report back to the Association. Attend LBUSD Superintendent Parent Forum meetings and report back.
Arts Committee: Help coordinate art lessons, art shows, music activities, and the PTA Reflections art program.
Beautification: Help maintain the landscaping around the school, including watering, weeding, trimming, and some planting. No experience needed.
Book Fair: Help set up and work the Book Fair in November.
Bulletin Board: Design and update the PTA bulletin board.
Cub of the Month: Coordinate supplies, create certificates, and distribute awards to teachers once a month.
Cubs Den Newsletter Coordinator (from home): Reach out to groups on campus to gather information for the monthly Cubs Den newsletter.
DEI (Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion): Help celebrate heritage and affinity months.
Drug and Alcohol Prevention Week: Coordinate activities during the week in October.
Fundraising: Help with fundraising efforts.
Hall of Fame: Take part in selecting our 8th grade Hall of Fame inductees. Cubberley middle school parents are not able to participate. Requires three evenings in April or May for committee meetings and student interviews.
Honor Roll Luncheon: Plan, organize, and set up the yearly luncheon for middle school honor roll students.
Hospitality: Help with staff luncheons and Teacher Appreciation activities.
Lost and Found and Uniform Exchange: Keep the lost and found organized, return labeled items to students, and help coordinate the uniform exchange.
Spirit Wear: Help with selling, organizing, and delivering spirit wear.
